Have you ever thought of taking care of your personal aquarium with the help of your PC? The whole idea seems to be weird.
WECOMS Co., Ltd has recently demonstrated the Comfish, an innovative computer controlled aquarium in the Korean market.
You can connect Comfish to your PC¡¯s USB slot via the USB cable that comes with the fish tank. This interacts with the software suite that in turn brings up a virtual fish tank on the desktop.
You will be able to see the illusion of the real fish swimming in the Comfish bowl on your desktop¡¯s virtual tank via the embedded camera in the Comfish.
When you create bubbles, vary the water temperature, or monitor the filter device in your virtual fish tank that appears on the desktop, the same action takes place at the actual fish tank.
A DC of 5V from the USB serves as the input to the Comfish and controls
Oxygenation by creating bubbles.
Climate control via temperature variations.
Lighting in the fish tank
Rearing tropical fishes is no longer a pain with Comfish. Its easy to install and inexpensive to use. Comfish aquarium is available in the market in 4 different colors - red, blue, silver and gold.
This innovative and weird fish tank is currently being sold at around $50.
